Carlos Ocampo Age, Height, Weight: Born on November 9, 1995, Carlos Ocampo, officially known as Carlos Cesar Ocampo Manriquez is a Mexican professional boxer.

He developed a love for boxing at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after boxers.

As an amateur, Carlos Ocampo won silver medals in the 2009 and 2011 Mexican National Olympiads. He made his professional debut in July 2012.

Ocampo has won his first 21 pro bouts, with wins over the likes of Jorge Páez Jr. and former world title challenger Charlie Navarro.

In July 2017, the IBF ordered a title eliminator between Ocampo and Konstantin Ponomarev. The winner will be the mandatory challenger to IBF champion Errol Spence Jr.

The fight was later called off as Ponomarev pulled out for undisclosed reasons. However, in 2018, Ocampo challenged for the IBF welterweight title but lost to Errol Spence Jr.

In May 2023, the powerful knockout artist, Carlos Ocampo hit the headlines when the date for his scheduled bout with Tim Tszyu was released.

Their scheduled twelve-round junior middleweight bout will take place on Sunday, June 18 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Broadbeach, in Queensland, Australia.

At the time of this writing (Wednesday, May 10, 2023), the powerful knockout artist, Ocampo had been involved in 36 bouts, of which he has won 32 and lost 2.

As of May 2023, he has only lost to Errol Spence Jr. and Sebastian Fundora. 22 of Ocampo’s victory was by knock out whiles the other 12 was by the judge’s decision.
