Dan Patrick Children: Meet His 2 Children: Dan Patrick, officially known as Dan Goeb Patrick is an American radio talk show host, television broadcaster, and politician.

At the age of 18 in 1968, he started his first radio job and years later, he became a television broadcaster at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Patrick later held a similar position at WTTG in Washington, D.C., before moving to KHOU-TV in Houston where he became the lead sportscaster.

As a politician and a member of the Republican Party, he has been serving as the 42nd lieutenant governor of Texas since January 2015, under Greg Abbott.

Patrick was first elected to Texas State Senate’s seventh district in 2006, after winning the primary election with 68.8% of the vote.

He also won the general election with 69.2% of the vote. His term began on January 9, 2007, with the convening of the Eightieth Texas Legislature.

In the 2010 general election, Patrick was reelected with 86.4% of the vote, and on November 4, 2014, he beat Democrat, Leticia Van de Putte to become the lieutenant governor-elect of Texas

On January 9, 2017, the day before the 85th Texas Legislature began its session, Patrick announced he would run for re-election in the 2018 general election.

On March 6, 2018, Patrick won the Republican Party primary after defeating Rockwall City Council Member, Scott Milder.

In the November 6 general election, Patrick won re-election to a second term, defeating Mike Collier. He won about 51% of the vote against Collier’s 46%.

In the 2022 general election, Patrick again defeated Mike Collier, winning about 53.8% of the vote to Collier’s 43.5%, with an over 826,000 margin.

In January 2023, Patrick in an interview stated that, would be running for another reelection in the 2026 general election. He has been serving as the 42nd lieutenant governor of Texas since January 2015.

In July 2017, Ryan was chosen to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas by U.S. President Donald Trump and the United States Senate subsequently confirmed him.
