Cinema director, screenwriter, actor, composer, producer, and music director S. Justin Selvaraj, also known by his stage name S. J. Suryah, is an Indian who has mostly worked in the Tamil film industry. He wanted to be an actor, but he began directing while working with Vasanth and Sabapathy.

S. J. Suryah made his directorial debut with Vaali in 1999 and its success catapulted him to stardom. His other notable films include Kushi (2000), New (2004), Aire Abe (2005), and Isai (2015). He made his acting debut in New and appeared in films such as Kalvanin Kadhali (2006), Thirumagan (2007), Vyabari (2007) and as an antagonist in Spyder (2017), Mersal (2017) and Maanaadu (2021).

After completing his schooling near his birthplace in Vasudevanalur near Sankarankovil in South Tamil Nadu, S. J. Suryah moved to Chennai to study physics at Loyola University.
