Joe Alwyn Parents: Meet Richard And Elizabeth: Joe Alwyn, officially known as Joseph Matthew Alwyn is an English actor born on February 21, 1991.

He developed a love for acting at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after actors.

Alwyn was educated at the City of London School. He briefly took guitar lessons and was part of the school band called “Anger Management” around the age of 13.

Following his interest in acting, he joined the National Youth Theatre in 2009 and later acted in two student productions at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Joe Alwyn graduated with a BA degree in English literature and drama from the University of Bristol (2012) and another BA, in acting, from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2015).

Alwyn made his feature film debut as the titular character in Ang Lee’s 2016 war drama, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.

He won the Trophée Chopard at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, following his appearance in various critically acclaimed films.

Alwyn has since played supporting roles in several films including; The Favourite, Boy Erased, Mary Queen of Scots, and Harriet.

He’s also a recipient of various accolades including; a Trophée Chopard, a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, a Satellite Award, and a Grammy Award.

Alwyn worked with American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift (2020–2022) on a number of her songs and for his contributions to Swift’s eighth studio album, “Folklore”, he won the Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

In April 2023, Joe Alwyn hit the headlines after it was reported that he had separated from his long-time girlfriend, Taylor Swift after six years of dating.
