The two-sport star has played football and basketball since he was a youngster. He continued to follow his ambition by playing both sports when he was still in high school.

Over time, Coleman’s interest in both sports developed, and instead of switching sports, he decided to concentrate on being better at his current sport.

He started playing basketball for his high school squad shortly after that. He scored 33 points a game on average before graduating.

After that, Coleman played basketball with the Minnesota Vikings for a number of seasons. He was averaging 20 points per game before he quit the squad.

Following his release from the Minnesota Vikings, he started getting offers from other institutions. Coleman committed to play for the Kansas Jayhawks in July 2020.

Coleman was let go from the team two months later. Similar to that, he committed to and inked a contract with Michigan State Basketball and Michigan State Football on February 3, 2021.
