Mason Crosby height-American football placekicker, Mason Walker Crosby was born on September 3rd, 1984 in Lubbock, Texas.

Crosby attended Georgetown High School, where he also participated in football. He also went to the University of Colorado Boulder, where from 2003 to 2006 he was a member of the Colorado Buffaloes football team.

He demonstrated exceptional leg strength when a student at Colorado, kicking a school-record 60-yard field goal against Iowa State in 2004.

The farthest field goal ever attempted in NCAA Division I-A football at sea level without a tee was Crosby’s 58-yarder against Miami in 2005. Crosby has a total of 31 school records. Throughout his college career, Crosby made 66 of 88 field goals, including 30 of 34 inside the 40-yard line.

With 12 of 13 field goals made in the fourth quarter and a perfect 10/10 in the final 812 minutes of games, he earned a reputation for kicking at crucial moments.

The game against rival Colorado State University, where Crosby made kicks of 55 (2004), 48, and 47 yards (2005) in consecutive years to win the Rocky Mountain Showdown, was when this bent was most obvious.

Crosby was the final of the Green Bay Packers’ three picks in a row and the third kicker overall when he was selected in the sixth round (193rd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Crosby and Dave Rayner, the current placekicker, were engaged in combat when training camp began.

Crosby made the longest field goal in Heinz Field history when he kicked a 52-yarder against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Green Bay’s first preseason game. During the last roster cut, Crosby was awarded the starting position.

Crosby made 27 of 34 field goal attempts and all 46 extra point attempts during the Packers’ 6-10 campaign in 2008. He made the most successful extra points in the league.

In 2009, when the Packers finished 11-5, Crosby made 27 of 36 field goal tries and 48 of 49 extra point attempts.

In the last seconds of the first half of the team’s regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, Crosby made a field goal from 56 yards—the longest of his then-career and a franchise record.

He made both field goal attempts and all three extra point attempts on the day, leading to a 27-20 victory.

Because of his performance against Philadelphia, he was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. Crosby made 22 of 28 field goal tries and all 46 extra point attempts in the 2010 season.

Crosby was re-signed by the Packers on July 27, 2011, to a 5-year, $14 million contract. Crosby kicked a season-high seven PATs in Week 4’s matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Against the Chicago Bears in Week 2, Crosby made a season-long 54-yard field goal. Crosby kicked a season-high seven PATs in Week 16’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Crosby and the Packers agreed to a four-year contract extension on March 1st, 2016. Crosby made 26 of 30 field goal tries and 44 of 47 extra point attempts in the 2016 campaign.

With the Packers, Crosby finished the 2017 campaign with a field goal completion percentage of 78.9%, which was the lowest of his career (since 2012). The second-lowest extra point completion rate of Crosby’s career was 94.3%, which he also accomplished.

Crosby beat the Detroit Lions in Week 6 by kicking three field goals, including the go-ahead kick. To celebrate, he did a Lambeau Leap.

Crosby extended his contract with the Packers for a three-year, $12.9 million deal on February 24, 2020. The Packers added Crosby to the reserve/COVID-19 list on July 30.

The Green Bay Packers changed the terms of Crosby’s contract on March 23, 2021, converting a portion of his basic pay into a salary bonus and his $1.25M roster bonus into a signing bonus. His contract was extended by three blank years as a part of this reorganization.

In overtime matches against the New England Patriots in Week 4 and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, Crosby made game-winning field goals.

As the Packers ended 8-9 and missed the playoffs in 2022, Crosby made 37 of 39 extra point tries and 25 of 29 field goal attempts.
