Michael Strahan has been married twice. He w as previously married to Wanda Hutchins, an American businesswoman in 1992 and divorced in 1996. They had two children together, a son named Michael Strahan Jr. and Tanita Strahan.

In 1999, Strahan married Jean Muggli. They had twin daughters together, Isabella and Sophia. They finalized their acrimonious divorce on July 20, 2006.

In August 2009, Strahan became engaged to Nicole Mitchell but they parted ways in 2014. Since 2015, he has been in a relationship with Kayla Quick.

Michael Strahan career

The New York Giants selected Strahan in the second round of the 1993 draft. He took part in the 2000 Giants’ postseason run to Super Bowl XXXV as a member of the team.

The Giants were easily trounced by the Baltimore Ravens, 34–7, despite having just finished an impressive 41–0 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.

Giants and Strahan negotiated a new deal in 2002. He claimed that after he rejected the team’s initial contract offers, negotiations broke down. In 2002, he charged that the front office had not made an effort to be competitive.

When it comes to sacks in a single season, Strahan’s 22.5 in 2001 broke New York Jet Mark Gastineau’s mark of 22, which had stood since the stat was first recorded in 1982.

When Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre dropped to the ground in the season’s penultimate game on January 6, 2002, Strahan broke loose and fell on top of Favre for an easy sack.

Many of the Giants’ defensive players patted quarterback Brett Favre on the helmet during the celebration that followed the play. At least one onlooker charged Favre with intentionally tripping to guarantee Strahan would receive the record.

After securing a sack on Drew Bledsoe during a Monday Night Football match against the Dallas Cowboys on October 23, 2006, Strahan matched Lawrence Taylor for the Giants franchise record for the most career sacks with 1321⁄2. However, Taylor’s rookie season of 1981, in which he racked up 91⁄2 sacks, is not included in this total.

That was the final sack Strahan would receive that season; two weeks later, in a game against the Houston Texans, he sustained a Lisfranc fracture, which would prevent him from playing in the playoffs or the rest of the season.

On June 9, 2008, Strahan announced his NFL retirement. In 200 games throughout a 15-year career (through the 2007 season), he finished with 141.5 lifetime sacks (sixth all-time when he retired), 854 total tackles, four career interceptions, 24 forced fumbles, and three career touchdowns. The show’s title was changed to Strahan and Sara in January 2019 and subsequently to Strahan, Sara, and Keke in August 2019 to reflect the inclusion of actress Keke Palmer.

In March 2020, the program was canceled because of ABC News’s coverage of the COVID-19 epidemic. That fall of that year, it was formally canceled.

2019 saw Strahan make a brief appearance as Bosley from the Townsend Agency’s New York division in the film Charlie’s Angels. Strahan served as a guest judge for Dancing with the Stars Season 32 in 2023.
