Michael A. Sussman is a 58-year-old former federal prosecutor from the United States who specialized in cybersecurity and privacy law. He was also a former partner at the law firm, Perkins Coie.

Born in 1964, Michael Sussman started his legal career at Proskauer Rose as an associate and later served as a prosecutor at the U.S. Justice Department for twelve years, eventually specializing in cyber crimes. He started off as a special assistant in the Criminal Division of the US Department of Justice before being promoted to senior counsel. He was an assistant US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he concentrated on violent and white-collar crime. From 2005 to September 2021, he was employed at Perkins Coie as a partner in the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity practice.
