After completing his training, Grant started his acting career in the theater, performing in various productions across the UK. He also appeared in a number of television commercials before making his television debut in the popular British medical drama, “Casualty.”

In 2014, the actor opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol. In the 1983 Star Wars movie Return of the Jedi, actor Paul Grant played a ewok.

Along with Star Wars and Harry Potter, the 4ft 4in actor also starred alongside David Bowie in the 1986 classic Labyrinth and the 1988 movie Willow.

Grant also acted as Hoggle’s stunt double in Brian Henson’s fantasy movie Labyrinth, in which he appeared in as a member of the Goblin Corps alongside Shari Weiser and Brian Henson.

Grant was recorded three weeks prior to his passing talking about how he “blew” his Star Wars fortune and was “drinking too much” at the same location where he passed away.

Police discovered that Paul Grant was lying unconscious outside London King’s Cross station. The well-known actor was taken to the hospital in a hurry, but the doctors pronounced him brain dead.

At the time of his death on March 19, 2023, Paul Grant was not known to be married, however, he was in a serious relationship.

He was reportedly dating a lady whose name was given as Maria Dwyer. Reacting to the death of the actor, Maria said;

“Paul was the love of my life. The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”
