Luciana Bozan Barroso was born on 31 July 1976, in Salta, Argentina. When she was young, her father, who worked as an insurance agent, and her mother, who was a housekeeper, divorced, so she was raised by her grandparents.

Her family is originally from Italy, but moved to Argentina before her parents were born so they could pursue a better life.

From an early age she was interested in arts, most notably in literature. While in high school, she aspired to become an artist. Years later, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from a local university.

First Marriage

Luciana met her Arbello Barroso sometime during her career as an air hostess. The couple married soon after, and welcomed their daughter they’ve called Alexia.

However, in 2004 the couple divorced for undisclosed reasons, and Luciana was given custody of Alexia. She and Barroso remained good friends and there was no drama involved in their separation. Even before their divorce, Luciana started working as a bartender so she could earn enough money to take care of her daughter.

Marriage to Matt Damon

Luciana met the famous Hollywood actor Matt Damon in 2003, when he was in Miami filming for the movie “Stuck on You”.

Damon is famous for his roles in blockbusters such as “Good Will Hunting”, “Saving Private Ryan” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley”.

Damon, joined by several of his colleagues, walked into Crowbar where Luciana was working, and the bartender quickly caught his eye. They started dating after Luciana’s divorce, and Damon proposed in September 2005. They tied the knot four months later, on 9^th December 2005. The wedding ceremony was organized at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau, and it was kept private, as both disliked public attention. The only guests were their closest friends and family.

Their first daughter was born in June 2006 who the couple named Isabella. In August 2008, they had their second daughter, Gia Zavala Damon, and two years later had a third daughter, Stella. The couple also has custody of Luciana’s first daughter, Alexia, which makes them parents of four girls.

Alexia is aspiring to become an actress. In 2011, she made a brief appearance in a family feature film, “We Bought a Zoo”, alongside her adoptive father. As a child, she went to a local private school in New York and loved playing soccer.

In one interview, Damon stated that he and his family have received a lot of gifts when their first daughter, Isabella, was born. “Stuck on You”, the movie that brought Luciana and Damon together, was supposed to be shot in Hawaii, but the location later switched to Miami.
