Alexander is a former officer who worked in the administration of the Moscow Oblast and currently works in the logistics division of the German hardware store OBI.

Zvonareva began to compete on the ITF Women’s Circuit in 1999, debuting at an ITF tournament. She won three qualifying matches to reach the main draw before losing in the first round
