Chanan Safir Colman born March 10, 1984, is a Danish-Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Haifa of the Israel Basketball Premier League.

He played college basketball for Chipola before playing professionally in Finland, Israel, and Denmark. He was named the Finnish League Finals MVP in 2006 and the Danish League MVP in 2012.

Chanan Safir Colman was born in Gladakke, Denmark, to an Israeli mother and a Jewish-American father. He started playing basketball at the age of nine. During an interview in 2017, he revealed that he speaks a total of three languages: Danish, English, and Hebrew.

Since 2014, Chanan Safir Colman has run a basketball camp in Denmark for children aged 8-19 called Camp Colman, which hosts hundreds of children each year. In 2021, he started dating British singer-songwriter Jessie J. On January 6, 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child later this year.

In 2004, Chanan Safir Colman started his professional career with the Finnish team Lappeenlanan NMKY. In his first two seasons at Lappeenlanan, he won the Finnish League and the Finnish Cup two years in a row. He was also named MVP in the 2006 Finnish League Final.

On 7 September 2006, Chanan Safir Colman signed with Israeli team Iloni Ashkelon for the 2006/07 season. On November 19, 2006, he scored a career-high 26 points and made 8-of-11 field goals in a 78-86 loss to Hapoel Jerusalem. On December 25, 2006, he received his Israeli passport. On 30 August 2007, Chanan Safir Colman signed Hapoel Gilboa Afula on a one-year deal.

On 1 July 2010, Chanan Safir Colman signed a two-year contract with the Danish team Svendborg Rabbits. On February 16, 2012, he had a career-high 26 points in a 109–94 victory over the Copenhagen Wolfpack, going 11-for-14 from the field, with four rebounds, and seven assists. In his second season with Svendborg, Chanan Safir Colman was named Basketball League MVP and led Svenball to the 2012 Basketball League final, where he was ultimately defeated by the Bakken Bears. He appeared in 40 games for Svenborg, averaging 15.6 points, 4.5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1.1 steals.

On 8 August 2012, Chanan Safir Colman signed with Maccabi Haifa for the 2012-2013 season. That season, she won the 2013 Israeli League Championship with Haifa and on 31 July 2013, Chanan Safir Colman signed a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem for the 2013-2014 season. However, on 19 February 2014, he parted ways with Jerusalem and signed for Maccabi Rishon Legion for the rest of the season. However, on December 5, 2014, after nine appearances, he parted ways with the team.

On December 5, 2014, Chanan Safir Colman signed a one-year deal with Maccabi Haifa. On March 3, 2015, he participated in the 2015 Israeli League All-Star Game and the Three-Point Shootout during the same event. On June 3, 2015, Chanan Safir Colman signed a two-year contract extension with Maccabi Haifa. That season, he was named Maccabi Haifa’s team captain. In 35 games played during the 2015–16 season, he averaged 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals.

On September 13, 2019, Chanan Safir Colman returned to Denmark to sign with the Copenhagen Wolfpack of the Danish Basketligaen. On March 12, 2021, he signed with Hapoel Haifa of the Israel Basketball Premier League.
