The English-born Zimbabwean actor Regé-Jean Page, born Regererai Page is popularly known for his role in Bridgerton, the first series of Netflix period drama which was a huge success and landed him a grand award as well as a nomination. 

Who is Regé-Jean Page?

Regé-Jean Page, known for his outstanding acting skills was born in London England to his Zimbabwean mother and nurse and his English dad who was a preacher on April 27, 1988. Even though the actor was born in England, he spent most of his childhood life in Harare, Zimbabwe alongside his three siblings before returning to his birth country for his secondary education.

Page first enrolled in National Youth Theatre and studied sound engineering. He later continued his education at Drama Center London. In 2001, the English Zimbabwean started his career in acting by first appearing in the tv series Gimme 6 as Tanaka.

He made his first appearance in an American production in 2016 with the series Roots and later in ABC’s Spark. In 2019, he made his breakthrough in acting with the series Bridgerton as Simon Bassett.
